New Zealand's number
one wheelbarrow brand.

Greens Wheelbarrows

From steelyards of 19th century England, to the backyards of Kiwis today.

For over 40 years we've continued to push (excuse the pun) the form and function of the humble wheelbarrow. Whether it's adding a pouring spout for accurate pouring, eliminating spade-shock with our bolt-free tray design, or making punctures a thing of the past with our flat-free Smart-Tyre.

Today the Greens brand offers a wide range of wheelbarrows from large trade barrows that can handle the toughest working conditions, to nimble garden barrows for those routine household duties. All offering the trademark Greens quality, design, and value, backed up with great customer service.
Building on our legacy of innovation, we've recently introduced the E-barrow - the wheelbarrow that pushes itself! A game changer for the hardworking tradies, landscapers, concreters and farmers who continue the building of New Zealand.

Since 1856 in England, the Greens family have been involved in the manufacturing of steel products. In 1935, Peter Green founded Coach Works in Hamilton, New Zealand which manufactured trailers, couplings, farm, household and other steel products and eventually led to the launch of the Greens Wheelbarrows range in 1975.

Today, Greens Wheelbarrows have become established as the number one brand in the New Zealand marketplace through a mixture of ingenious design, outstanding quality and friendly customer service.

We still assemble and distribute our wheelbarrows from right here in Hamilton, and you can find Greens Wheelbarrows in not only backyards but at concrete pours, construction sites and major infrastructure projects across New Zealand and the globe.

About Us
About E-Barrow
The wheelbarrow that does the pushing for you

Improve safety, increase productivity and reduce fatigue on your jobsite with our new E-Barrow. The 48V Lithium-Ion battery powers a 500W motor that's built right into the hub. Making light work of steep hills, muddy trails and that dreaded ramp up to the truck! Ideal for professional landscapers, tradies, farmers or even if you've just got a decent sized patch of land.

POWER THROUGH YOUR WORKLOAD
The 500W motorised hub is sealed against the weather, while the 48V 10 amp Lithium-Ion battery can be charged in place, or is easily removable for charging off-site, and can last several days of hard work on a single charge. Thanks to the ingenious regenerative braking feature, the battery recharges when travelling downhill on the brake - giving you even longer running time.

Open the variable thumb throttle and you’ll be powering loads up to 160kg around the site without breaking a sweat.

FINGERTIP CONTROL FOR IMPROVED SAFETY
Assisted pushing makes tricky ramps and steps easier to navigate, and the brakes reduce the chances of slipping when going downhill. People in trade and around the home find the brake almost as useful as the motor giving control downhill and allowing easy tipping of loads.

The thumb throttle provides responsive speed control, going from a slow crawl to walking speed at your command. And when you're heading down that muddy bank the brake stops it from taking you for a skate...and recharges the battery!

Built tough, the 90 litre polythene tub exceeds the highest drop test standard for plastic trays (Impact resistance factor 25). The hot-dip galvanised steel frame is paired with non-slip handgrips, Flat-free Smart-tyre and large, free-running, high quality, precision sealed ball bearings, so you know it’s built to handle whatever life on site throws at it.
